This sponge cake mix is easier to use, lighter and tastier, packed in a new self-supporting, 1kg paper bag! Your cake will have more air and volume, to ensure the lightest texture, and the highest quality for your cake.
All you need to add to the mix to create a wonderful cake is: eggs, water and, if you wish, grated lemon zest or FunCakes flavour. You will bake a beautifully flat and tasty cake which you can then decorate in any way you wish.
Preparation:
See the quantity table on the package or go to www.funcakes.nl for proportions and baking time. Preheat the oven to 175°C (convection oven 160°C). Ingredients need to be at room temperature. Put the mix, eggs and water in a bowl. Mix at high speed for 7-8 minutes. Then mix at low speed for another 2-3 minutes. Pour the batter into a buttered baking pan (1/2 to 2/3 full). Place the cake in the oven and don’t open the door during baking! The cake is ready when it feels springy to the touch. Release the cake immediately after baking and let it cool down on a cake grid.
