This Bake Delicious Apple Pie mix is a versatile mix! Use it not only for making delicious apple pie, but also for making slippers, filled cakes, canoes and delicious pie crusts!
Preparation method Apple pie:
- 500 grams Bake Delicious Apple Pie mix
- 180 grams of butter in cubes
- 20 grams of water (20ml)
Filling:
1 kg sweet and sour apples
50 grams of sugar
2 3 teaspoons cinnamon
75 grams of raisins
- Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature.
- Manual: Place all ingredients in a large bowl and rub with hands to form a cohesive dough.
- Machine: Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix with a hook or butterfly into a cohesive dough.
- Let the dough set for 1 hour in the fridge.
- Peel the apples and cut them into cubes. Soak the raisins in lukewarm water (about 15 minutes). Mix the sugar, raisins and cinnamon through the apples
- Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll out 2/3 of the dough to approx. 5 mm thick.
- Line a greased springform tin (Ø 22-24 cm) with the dough. Fill the pie with the apple mixture. Roll out the rest of the dough to 5mm and cut into long strips about 1cm wide. Place the strips of dough in a grid on the apple mixture and brush with beaten egg. Preheat the oven to 170øC (convection oven 155øC) and bake the cake for 50 - 70 minutes.
Tip:
Mix 150 gram Bake Delicious Farmers cake crumbled into the Apple mixture.
